Birmingham Town Hall - 13/12/13

Laura mentioned to us last night that she will again be the guest artist at the annual Midlands Hospital's Choir Christmas concert which this year will be at the Town Hall on Friday 13th December.

I attended last years concert at the Symphony Hall where Laura performed 7 songs (Report & Photos) and I have already booked my ticket for this years performance too - I have booked B21, the same seat I had for one of the first times I saw Laura with All Angels at the Town Hall back in 2007!

The stage is pretty high at the Town Hall which is the reason for the lower price on the first two rows but you can see from Steve's photos HERE the view from the front row.

Hi Folks,

As I will be arriving in Birmingham early I have decided to go to the 3pm performance as well. Grant from HWI will be coming with me and we have seats H13 /14.

Yes it will be good to have a catch up, it's going to be a good turnout for all Laura's core fans!

I will try and get there early so we all meet up for something to eat before the evening performance. I will be working in the morning so I will not be able to make the afternoon performance

I have just returned fron a few days in Birmingham and after looking around I can suggest a Wetherspoons where we could eat before the show.It is called The Briar Rose and is situated in Bennetts Hill just off New St and near the station.Grant will be with me for the afternoon show and I expect he will join us too.I will be staying at the Travelodge Newhall St and have already told them that I will be arriving late.

Hi Gordon,

I don't know what time I will be able to finish work to arrive in Birmingham yet but hopefully I will be there early enough to join you for something to eat. The Briar Rose sounds good to me!

I have booked a different Travelodge at Moor Street. I could return home the same night but it's pushing it after the concert and I don't want to rush around and risk missing Laura afterwards.

Sorry for the late reply I have been in Dubai on business for a couple of weeks.

The Briar Rose sounds good to me! I am working until lunchtime and will make my way over in the afternoon, what time do you want to meet up? I thought I would take in the Christmas Market as well.

It was great to meet up with you all again, Laura sang beautifully as usual, I got back to Suffolk at 2:00AM but it was worth it! - and what a lovely setting!
