Thank you for the wonderful photos Steve.
I am sorry that I could not be there in the end. I made a difficult last minute decision not to go on Wednesday morning. I'm recovering from hernia surgery and as I could still feel pulling in the incision area, I didn't want to risk it in London.

Steve, thanks for posting some great photos. Was also great meeting both you and Gordon at Ipswich today, another brilliant evening. Just to set the scene I though I would give a brief rundown of events on Wednesday. A group of us met up at a local hostelry for a pie and a pint after which we made our way down Exhibition Road to the Royal Albert Hall. At 6.45pm the doors opened and we headed for the Elgar Room. We were presented with a cabaret style layout with tables and chairs, it was a change from the normal concert type seating layout but it seemed to work very well. Laura negotiated her way to the stage through the tables, joined by pianist Tim Kennedy, cellist Katie Holt and guitarist A.J Moore. The set list was as follows.. The Last Rose of Summer Sally Gardens The Call Nana Scarborough Fair The Rose Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal Someone to Watch Over Me IntervalStronger as One Born Free White Cliffs of Dover Danny Boy Chariots of Fire Jerusalem Send in the Clowns (encore) Needless to say Laura performed every song beautifully and interacted so well with her audience. It was a brilliant first headline concert for her resulting in a much deserved standing ovation at the end. She also took time out to for a meet and greet at the end which was very much appreciated by all. Here are some of my photos (finally), hope you enjoy them Graham

Many thanks for the photos Steve and Graham. It was a great evening and without doubt Laura was in top form and really nailed her first headline performance. The intimacy of the Elgar Room really suited her.
Cheers Martin

As Graham says, the seating arrangement was an arrangement of tables and chairs, with the front row being reserved. So rather risk having my field of view interrupted by peoples heads, I found myself a table near the front but off to one side. This gave me a somewhat different angle to video Laura from but still worth a view I think.... 1st half: www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6qHkOF3yAo2nd half: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CI5BHNKQ-g
