Laura's official website laura-wright.co.uk has been taken down, hopefully in preparation for the imminent new one.

I see the site is still down - shame there isn't a placer of some kind eg 'watch this space'.
Nothing on anyone's 'twittering' accounts - although the domain is registered until the end of the year at least - so...

Thanks Michael. Not very informative though as the new website has been under construction for quite a while now! Martin

I sent an email to the contact point on this site asking when it is anticipated that the new website will be live but did not receive a reply. I do not want to sound harsh but when it comes to interacting with ordinary "fans" it seems that Laura is concentrating more on private events than public. Martin

Laura posted a "Sneak peak of my new website!" on her Instagram stories yesterday (these disappear after 24 hours). The background appeared to be Laura doing press-ups, but it didn't give much away - apart from the fact that something is actually happening.

Laura's website is now live at www.laurawright.co.uk/I haven't had time to explore much of the content, but initial observations are:- - Difficult to navigate - menu options are hidden (though some of this may be due to my company's Websense internet blocker ).
- Each page takes a long time to load.
- No events page for live appearances.

The new website is very flash and I love the monochrome effect particularly on the photos. Not as certain about the logo which could lead to LW being called 'the artist formerly known as...'
It'll be great if it's maintained and if the usability issues highlighted by John are addressed. There is a lot of content loaded which is also an issue on older browsers and slower connections. There is a page for press releases and I guess that is where the majority of variable content and news will feature in the future.
Some of LW's photos are interesting in themselves eg the one on the 'composer' page has a very strong line shown on her outstretched leg which could be muscular or vascular but it also reminds me of my hip replacement scar.
I'm intrigued by the contact list - more changes?

Yes, there are many issues with the new website, particularly when viewed on an iPad. I doubt that it was tested on all platforms.
The main issue is the slow response but the fact there is also no events page is worrying as this is what we want the most!

The most ridiculous aspect of this new website is the fact that it does not appear in Google when you search "Laura Wright" !!!!
The company that created this site needs to address this fundamental issue immediately otherwise no one will know about it.

Hi, With searches in mind and the odd misspelling of addresses that happens I did find the following website laurawright.com/ which shows on the toolbar as 'I make reading sexy'. Thankfully it's nowhere near as interesting as it could have been! Michael

Hi,
Having seen the news for the Rochester Castle concert on Laura's Twitter feed it's clear this new website will not to be the way to find out about forthcoming events. That's fine with me if we can continue to count on Laura to keep us up to date and informed on Twitter instead.
