I found out about this event less than 24 hours beforehand but couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Laura live. This was in the week before Laura's album release and she was singing some (most) of the songs at a pub in London. The accompaniment was just a solo violin and a guitar so the performance came over quite differently from the full orchestra on the album. I don't often video performances but I found myself standing in the front row barely more than a metre away from Laura so it seemed too good a chance to miss. You can see the results on my Youtube channel here www.youtube.com/user/55johnh?feature=mhee#g/uDazza has already snaffled my pictures (he did ask first) so you can see them in the gallery here s1124.photobucket.com/albums/l563/LWIhost/03%20The%20Tudor%20Rose/?albumview=slideshowI loved the experience seeing and hearing Laura sing, and meeting her afterwards. She did say she would be doing more pub appearances over the summer, but I haven't seen any announced yet. You can read a fuller account of the evening on the Classical Crossover UK forum, starting here www.classical-crossover.co.uk/forums/7-classical-crossover/5664-laura-wright.html?limit=10&start=20#10990

Hi John,
Thanks again for the use of your photos, it's much appreciated.
It is concerts like this one which make me wish I lived closer to London, beautiful music and beer, what more could you want? I'll be looking out for more pub dates and hope they fall on a weekend.
