Laura Wright, the young soprano who sang before the Queen during the Jubilee celebrations, performed at the Albert Hall Carols 2012, has shot to fame this last year and is now England's first official National Anthem singer. She will be singing at the Six Nation Games in 2013. She is a Classical cross-over artist and will be bringing a supporting group to Beaulieu. We are very fortunate to have secured her before her career took off in 2012.

Shame, I would have liked to hear the Queen sing. They must have missed that bit off the videos. ;D

Still not sure if I will be going to this concert, mainly due to the distance involved.
Having said that I might have a change of heart as it is only a little further than Northleach and I did that journey twice in four days last year

It was a lovely concert last night in the beautiful setting of the Abbey Church at Beaulieu.





Laura sang without a microphone, accompanied by Simon Lole on piano, Andy Moore on guitar and Katie Holt on cello.

Glad you enjoyed the concert, it's always a treat seeing and hearing Laura perform.
Well done on managing to get a few pictures, you never disappoint

I am looking forward to seeing Laura at the Apex on the 22nd but in the meantime her cd's will have to suffice!
