Hi all, Have just got back from an excellent concert at Mendlesham. Laura was on top form. She was supported by The Edmund Octet who also performed an individual Barber Shop section, a 'Nice and Easy' medley of Perry Como's hits and a set of Light Classics from the 1930's, 40's and 50's. Laura's set included: Purcell's 'Dido's Lament' from Dido and Aeneas Handel's 'Laschia Chio Pianga' Bizet's 'Habanera' from Carmen (with Edmund Octet) INTERVAL 'The Last Rose of Summer' 'The Water is Wide' 'Wayfaring Stranger' ( with Edmund Octet) As Laura only had 6 copies of her CD for sale there were a few disappointed fans - I of course took my own copy for signing With both Laura's and the churches permission I was allowed to take photographs during the second half, the best ones are posted below. All in all it was a great evening and I would recommend seeing Laura in one of these intimate concerts if you get the chance - roll on Norwich on the 1st Oct! Here's my picture efforts... That's yer lot folks..!!! Graham

Hi Graham,
Thanks for your report as well as the wonderful photographs.
Like you say concerts at these venues are always more intimate and I am really looking forward to seeing Laura in Lancaster now.

Hi Graham, Great photo's well done! I don't live too far away from Mendlesham but I was in Edinburgh all weekend at the festival I would have loved to have made it to the concert. Glad there was some support from LWIF there ;D Steve H

I cycled fiteen miles to hear Laura at Mendlesham and it so well worth it.
Her rendition of Handel's Laschia Chio Pianga had me in goosebumps.
I love Graham's photos. I can now stop kicking myself for leaving my camera in Norwich.
Glad to have found this site,
William

Thanks for sharing the photos Graham. Glad to see the concert went well. I only live just down the road but couldn't go as it was my brother's wedding. Bad planning on his behalf I say!
