Looks like I missed Laura at the Albert Hall today appearing in the "Big Sing". Tis' a pity it wasn't included in her schedule on the official website! Martin

It was sold out long ago Martin, don't feel bad about it. Laura sang "Stronger as one". The show "Tribute to a Queen" will be broadcast next Sunday 20 September.

Guest artists on the Big Sing are rarely announced in advance. In previous years I have heard the names a week beforehand at the choir rehearsal but I was not in the choir this year. I didn't know Laura would be appearing until she was announced just before her song this evening.
Laura did not appear with the other guests for the finale. I assumed she had made an early getaway so I did not wait for her at the stage door.

Yes, I've always wondered why guest appearance on the "Big Sing" has been so secretive. Maybe, Laura had to leave early to rehearse with the Birmingham Ballet (see short video on Twitter). It looks like this is the big news that Laura was alluding to on Twiiter last week. I think it is also connected with the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Martin

Yes, I've always wondered why guest appearance on the "Big Sing" has been so secretive. I think probably the BBC wants to attract people who want to sing hymns, rather than fans of the particular guest artists.
