Hi All, I have been kindly sent a link to a great YouTube video of Laura's Duet with Alfie Boe, taken at Colston Hall Bristol on the 6th December 2011. Alfie Boe and Laura Wright sing 'Come What May' www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M1CvEGyLQ8Steve

Just a quick report as I am in Birmingham airport waiting to fly up to Scotland and my brain hasn't really woken up yet We went to see Alfie last night at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham. The show was very good with Alfie in top form but, for me, the star of the show was Laura. As previously reported, she performed 2 songs in each half and then a duet with Alfie as part of the encore. If my brain icks in later, I will remember what she sang but the highlight for me was her stunning rendition of "The Rose". The duet of "Come What May" was also beautiful. It was fantastic to see the reception Laura got, especially as a large part of the audience were probably hearing her for the first time, certainly as a soloist. It was even more impressive a performance in the second half as she was singing while Alfie and 'special guest' Matt Lucas were clowning around. (To me, Matt Lucas was the only down side of the evening). Brain waking a little to add "Race To The End" and "Danny Boy" to her setlist......now all I need to do is remember what she started with All in all, well done Laura, you were fantastic (and by the way, looked beautiful too).
